Apache County Contacts

Use the office that owns the record or custody system. Apache County Jail and sheriff records belong with the Apache County Sheriff’s Office, court outcomes belong with the proper court, and state or federal custody has a separate locator. The contacts below help route a focused request.

This private reference site is not a government office and cannot confirm custody, release anyone, post bond, or retrieve an official record.

Apache County Sheriff and Jail

For current county custody, a booking record, or a booking-photo request, contact the Apache County Sheriff’s Office. The office and Apache County Jail are at 370 South Washington, St. Johns, AZ 85936. Mail may be sent to P.O. Box 518, St. Johns, AZ 85936. The main and jail line is 928-337-4321, and the published toll-free line is 1-800-352-1850. The sheriff directs non-emergency callers to the dispatch option. Published office hours are Monday through Thursday, 6:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

Franchesca Romero is the listed records contact at 928-337-7576. Lillian Chavez is the administrative coordinator at 928-337-7578, and the county directory lists Jail Commander Chris McCarthy at 928-337-4321. Confirm current details on the official sheriff page before visiting or sending a request.

Choose the Correct Record Office

A missing result often means the wrong system was searched. Use these official routes according to the record needed.

  • For a current jail status, start with Apache County Citizen RIMS, then call the sheriff.
  • For a booking record or photo, ask ACSO Records for its current request method, fee, and response estimate.
  • For a court disposition, use the Apache County Clerk of the Superior Court or the court assigned to the case.
  • For a sentenced state prisoner, use the Arizona Department of Corrections, Rehabilitation & Reentry Inmate Data Search.
  • For federal prison custody, use the Federal Bureau of Prisons locator; for eligible immigration victim notifications, use DHS/ICE VINELink.
  • For a release or transfer alert, review VINE Arrest Check and its Apache County participation warning.

Send a Useful Records Request

Give the full name, approximate arrest or booking date, arresting agency, booking number if known, and the exact item requested. Ask whether ACSO controls the record and whether redaction, a fee, or another submission route applies. The older county Public Records Reproduction Request form routes requests through the Clerk of the Board of Supervisors, but no current ACSO-specific booking-photo fee or fixed turnaround was found. Confirm the sheriff’s preferred method first.

Court and State Contacts

The Apache County Clerk of the Superior Court maintains court records and provides its own access request. Court records, not the jail roster, show dismissal, plea, acquittal, conviction, sentence, and sealing status. For state-prison records, contact ADCRR Public Records at 602-542-5886. Those state records do not replace an Apache County sheriff request.
